The Purity of The Water

You get home after being on a friend's house browsing the Internet. On your way home you were totally absorbed in your thoughts until you saw somebody's dog and called him by its name. The dog just looked at you. It is friendly, there is no possibility he will bite you. ‘I have always been friendly towards the animal too,’ you thought. One block ahead you saw a little child crying. She was asking her mom for something but the mother looked as if she did not care about it. You kept walking and your thoughts were there again. It seems the world is spinning more slowly when you walk. You like it. Nobody was bothering you.

You arrive at your house. There is a completely different atmosphere in there. As soon as you get into the house, it seems you are going to become a mimetic being. Everybody around has their own thoughts and their own concerns. However, as a whole, they look alike. Somebody is watching TV while others are talking about what happened in the morning. They are assimilated into a single mass. Despite having separate bodies, they act as though they were just a little part of a big body. The banality of modern life has prompted them to become that. You feel frightened. Am I a part of this too? Is not there at least one person who is still a human being as he is supposed to be?

Suddenly, you hear somebody is roaring with laughter. It is very natural. It is strange because it sounds more human than ever. You turn around and see your two little nieces are playing. Nothing can perturb them. They are just enjoying themselves. You realize they do not belong to the big body. They are human beings by themselves and are being themselves. You like that.
